We give aid and education and they want to kill teachers
@ 03/12/2007 - 18:34:11This little rant is about Moslem fundametalists. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the west's ways of protecting its oil interests in the middle east, there is absolutely no call for these ignorant shits to put on trial someobody who is only interested in helping children achieve their potential.
Not only did these turds put her on trial they found her guilty. And their president didn't issue a pardon because the court was wrong, merely (it is reported) because of the lobbying efforts of two British Muslim peers. He didn't have the guts to stand up to the ignorant bigots in his own country.
Take the fun out of fundamentalist and you are left with mentalists. Says it all.

It's much nastier than it appears, in fact.
Their president is really just a warlord who happens to have grabbed control, and is filling his overseas bank with oil revenues while presiding over the attempted eradication of a large part of the country's population.
The local impoverished Muslims certainly are a bunch of idiots, and you have to wonder who supplied the readymade banners for their spontaneous demonstration.

i really think anybody who gioes to a muslim country (or any foreign country)should get an orientation lesson before they do so. after the furore over the cartoons last year and knowing what it's like for teachers here in the UK(u cant touch kids, or scold or whatever) why would anybody not double check with authorities in the school to see if it's cool? I fully sympathise with the teacher's plight and i am glad she is out of there but sometimes we have selective amnesia and reasoning in the west. Most people know the situation in Sudan and that the government is a bunch of fundamentalist. anybody with a bit of common sense would stay away from the name mohammed or always double check to see if they are doing the right thing. In the climate we are living in these days, i find it inexcusable that one would be so ignorant.
They have their rules in Sudan, we have to respect them even if we disagree with them, same as we would expect the sudanese and anybody else who comes to this country to obey the rules. she should have thought twice. she is a teacher. she should know better.
